Applications

Tartaric acid is mainly used in the food industry. Like citric acid, tartaric acid is used as an acid flavor agent in carbon dioxide drinks, and is usually used in combination with phosphoric acid, citric acid and malic acid. Wine making is one of the main places where tartaric acid is used.
